We had a fun little hike last Tuesday before she left! We hiked Stewart Falls at Sundance. We were planning to meet my hiking group there but didn't make it in time. It was a really fun hike with a little sketchy part when we had to cross an avalanche field. Yikes. We decided not to go back that way and instead hiked out into Sundance and called Jared to meet us for lunch at the Foundry Grill. We ate so much good food and it was a fun last outing together!
I used to think you had to wait until the snow melted to hike. But winter hiking is so beautiful! I love it. Plus its fun to sled down when you can. We didn't do that on this one. We just wore our regular boots with crampons. We were so warm in our sweatshirts short sleeves would have been nice! Once you get going you just want to peel off the layers.
