My Girls

Just randomly got some super cute photos of all my girls!  Elise refused to let me take pictures in California, but I snapped this one over my shoulder while riding my bike.  How could I not get a picture with this gorgeous sky and palm trees?  And of course the red shirt and turquoise bike.  It was just too perfect.

This is our new Puppy Annie!  Poor Annie got carsick and puked before we stealthily took this photo.  We didn't realize dogs were not allowed in the canyon.
Monet is pretty gorgeous.  Just a few more months and she gets her braces off and we'll probably see a lot more toothy smiles.
Simone's cute friend Izzy has a mom who is a fantastic photographer!  Love these photos she took of the girls!

Stay 10 Forever

I was watching Simone with her friends and just thought to myself, "stay 10 forever."  Ten is so uncomplicated!  There are no boys to worry about.  You might have a crush, but mostly its just about having a great time.

Simone is the queen of social.  We finally got her a phone mostly because I was fielding calls from her friends all day!

They are so funny and always doing the most hilarious and creative things to keep themselves busy!

Dressing up in plastic bags and dancing in the rain.

Lacrosse clinic with the Varsity girls!  Such fun coaches!
 They crack me up!

Back to School Week 2017

This is basically a big photo dump with some captions!  So much is happening these days, I can't keep up!

Little Lovey started Kindergarten!  Not really much of a change since he was already in 5 days a week preschool last year.  But he's really hoping to make more friends.  He's dying for some playdates.
We were lucky enough to have Taylor sleepover!  She is so dang cute.  These girls are now sophomore, junior and senior!
Simone threw a huge fit about getting her hair done.  She was so incredibly tired!  Its rough adjusting to waking up.

Miles is so darn tall!  I keep having to buy new pants.  He's 5'8" and wears a 10.5 shoe!  He's sprouting up.

Monet beat last years time at the Westlake Grass relays by 1:26!  Super proud of her!  She came in 2nd in her Freshman/Sophomore division out of 283 girls.  Yay Monet!  She's running Varsity this Saturday.  So we will see how she does.

She had another race yesterday at AF and it wasn't quite as good, she looked a little tired.  But finished at 20:55 and I *think* it was over 3 miles.  We'll see.  She accidentally stopped her watch so she doesn't know.  They have a great team this year!  Lone Peak girls won the meet.

I took Soren and his buddy to get some fries and play at the park.  He loved it!  Boys love Jeeps!

No Sugar Updates

So we are now on about day 60 of no sugar!  I shouldn't say NO sugar because we have had some, a few bites of birthday cake and I'm sure in restaurant food, sauces, etc.  But we've been great for the most part!  I can't tell you how many things I've not eaten because of this commitment.  And it hasn't even been that hard.  Although I did cheat and intentionally eat a snickers a week ago.  Thats pretty much it.

I am down 5 lbs.  Which has been completely amazing to me because since we started this challenge:
1-4th of july
2-my birthday
3-Lake Powell trip
4-Beachhouse trip

I usually gain weight in the summer with all the fun stuff happening and being out of my routine.  But this summer I lost weight in what I would call a very passive way!  I ate plenty of junk on those trips we were on (fries, chips, etc) but I still lost weight.  Which is crazy to me.  I can definitely clean up my diet a lot more.

BUT I like that I don't have to think of it so much and it isn't super disrupted by vacations.

Last week I went to St George for a day with Elise and I stopped at Harmons and got some snacks for my hotel room: veggies cut up, pineapple, sushi, spring rolls, etc.  I loved the raw veggies on my drive home so much I made a bunch of little containers with a variety of veggies in them to grab.  Its been so helpful!  I have eaten way more veggies than normal this week.

Soren started back to Kindergarten today!  So I'm creating my workout schedule.  I'm excited to get back at it.
