Biking to the White Barn in Park City for Elise's 19th Birthday

Happy Birthday Elise!  It was so fun to spend the day with Elise and Monet.  We needed a little day off of school.   It was beautiful!

We went to Park City and rented the Electric Bikes at the library near the outlets.  They are sooo fun and so cheap.  The first 45 min is free and then it is only a few dollars for the next half hour or so.  Anyway it was a great time and something we haven't done together.  We went to lunch after and that is always good!  Elise and Jared and I went to dinner that night at Ruth's Chris.  That was where she wanted to go and Jared loves that place so he was way excited.  I guess next year we won't be celebrating with her cause she'll be on her mission!

She submitted her papers at the end of September so any day now!

Mt Timpanogos Hike! First Time Ever.

This was a long hike, but so beautiful!  I'll do it every year I think.  It was hard at the top because the air is so thin and my muscles were so fatigued!  My heart rate was way high too.  But such a great time and beautiful weather.

This was nearly 15 miles and the longest hike I've ever done.  Our friend Rose is heading to Bhutan to do some big hikes there so we did this and the other ladies did some other hard ones to help her prepare.

This guy hikes this 6 days a week!  Unreal.

Cannon Beach Oregon Hiking Trip

This was only my second time to Oregon and first to Cannon Beach.  I love the misty forests and ferns!  The food was incredible and we had a lot of fun shopping after hikes and playing games at night.  I never feel like playing games but then once I start I really love it!

We stayed in some really nice places.  One of the ladies in our group has a sister with a Beach house on a bluff overlooking the ocean at Cannon Beach.  It was soooo cute and had the most gorgeous views!  Plus we got the inside info on where to eat and shop.

We couldn't all fit in the house because there were 9 of us and only one bathroom.  So a group of us stayed at The Lodges at Cannon Beach in town.  It was really cozy and nice.  I would totally stay there again.

Except we met a lady on the beach from Utah and she has the CUTEST airbnb.  Its a brand new home and would be so fun to spend a Thanksgiving there or something.

https://www.vrbo.com/858833 it is really even cuter in person and just right next street over from the beach.

Apparently I'm getting to be quite the expert on dog breeds!  There were tons of Aussies in Oregon.  I am so much more of a dog lover than I used to be.  Its weird.  I for sure wouldn't be much of a dog person at all if it weren't for my kids.

Anyway, I don't even really know the names of the hikes we did!  But I'm super grateful for this beautiful Earth!  We went to Indian Beach and Ecola State Park.  We did part of the Tillamook Head Trail.

Best breakfasts at:  Wanda's Cafe and Bakery in Manzanita, Sleepy Monk and Sea Level in Cannon Beach
Lunches:  Cannon Beach Hardware (The waiter mentioned something about Mormons and was so embarrassed when he found out that we were all members!  Haha) Crabbing at Kelly's Marina
Dinner: Pelican Brewing, Bistro Cafe
Dessert:  Salt and Straw best ice cream!!!

I am so fortunate to have a group of friends that all love to hike! I love these ladies!  Its pretty awesome to have such a positive and fun group of people to be surrounded by.

Waiting on our Crab feast at Kelly's Marina

So this is another favorite!

My favorite photo of the trip.  I LOVE this!
