We are all so proud of Monet! She is a very dedicated student! She started college with a vow to not focus so much on grades. Her first term was covid, she had to do everything in her tiny dormroom, it was hard to meet people with all the public spaces shut down and masks, and she was playing lacrosse and had a lot going on.
After that first term she gave up on the idea that grades don't matter and realized that she enjoys working hard in school. She started pursuing business and took all of the prerequisites for the business school, like economics, marketing, accounting, etc. Then she shifted gears to do something that would better prepare her for PA school. So she chose Exercise Science because it has all the pre-requisites included in the major. So she took Organic Chemistry, Advanced Neuroanatomy, etc. Super tough schedule! And got straight A's on all her pre-requisites. She did a lot of classes not required for her major but just recommended for PA school applicants. She finished with a 3.85!
She loved the online semester she spent in Hawaii. What a fun time with all her friends before their missions! She loved running on the BYU Farm Team. And overall had a really fun, quick, college experience.
I'm very proud of her for accomplishing her goals in graduating so quickly. People always think four years sounds so long. But she finished in just 2 years and 10 months total. That is nothing kids! And the other complaint is how much college costs. Even without her scholarship, BYU is cheaper than Soren's Montessori preschool tuition. Thank you BYU! Good work Monet!
